The Acanthus Collection is inspired by the Ancient Greek and Roman ornamentation on the capitals of columns and buildings. The acanthus leaf is a recurring theme throughout antiquity, particularly in Corinthian and Byzantine architecture. T.W. Kessler designs feature the leaves arranged in a rosette shape, inspired by early 20th century metalwork. The designs incorporate the symmetry and curves of nature with structural elements inspired by ancient and modern architecture.
